Applique Away On Galveston Bay

FEES:  The all-inclusive cost for the four full-day conference is $1325.  This includes a double hotel room for Sunday thru Wednesday nights, continental breakfast and snacks each day,  reception Sunday evening, banquet and speaker Wednesday evening, and four full days of applique classes. If you wish a single room, the all-inclusive fee will be $1725.00.  The conference/no lodging fee of $975 includes all of the above except hotel room.

SPOUSES/GUESTS:  Spouses or guests are welcome to accompany you during the conference.  Please register for a single room.  For the additional fee of $400.00 your spouse /guest may attend breakfast and all the evening activities with you.

HANDICAP ROOM:  The hotel has only one handicap room.  It will be provided on a first come first served basis.  It is a Queen room.  You must prearrange for your roommate or you will be charged at the single room rate.

ROOMMATE:  If registering for a double room, please indicate your roommate on both of your registration forms.  If you are attending alone and desire a roommate, we will attempt to match you with another single attendee.  If we are not able to do so, you will be assigned and charged for a single room.

ADDITIONAL LODGING:  If you wish to stay over Thursday night please indicate when you register. The conference rate will apply.

​

MEALS:  Lunch is not included in the registration fee, nor is dinner on Monday and Tuesday nights.  The Tremont House is one block off the famous Strand on Galveston Island.  Many fun restaurants are within walking distance for your enjoyment.  We have allowed two hours for lunch and two free evenings for you to explore Galveston.  We will include a list of restaurants nearby in your registration packet.  There is also a coffee shop in the lobby of the hotel that serves sandwiches and light meals.

CLASS SELECTION:  Please indicate your choices (1-4) for both Monday/Tuesday and Wednesday/Thursday classes.  Classes will be assigned in order they are received.  Confirmation of your class selection will be sent within one month of receiving your registration.  In the event a class is full or if a class is cancelled, you will be assigned your next choice.  Each class will be limited to 20 quilters.

PAYMENT:  A deposit of $400 is due with your registration.  The remainder of your fee will be due by November 1, 2022.  Payment may be made with a credit card via PayPal on our web site, or with a check.  If paying by PayPal, a 4% additional charge will apply to cover the cost of processing PayPal payments.  Balance received after November 1, 2022 will incur a $50 delinquent fee per month.

CANCELLATION AND TRANSFER POLICY:  Cancellation requests must be received in writing.  Prior to August 1, 2022, a full refund will be given.  From August 1 to October 31, 2022 one half of your deposit will be refunded ($200).  After October 31, 2022, no refunds will be given.  If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another quilter at no charge.  Please let us know about the transfer as soon as possible. IF Applique Away On Galveston Bay is cancelled by the organizers, all monies paid will be refunded in their entirety. We also suggest purchasing travel cancellation insurance in case of unforeseen circumstance. Check with the insurance company about whether or not Covid-19 travel restrictions are covered by their insurance so that you have the information you need to make this decision. 

  

We will be  monitoring the Covid 19 situation and will be following the state and local guidelines in effect at the time of the conference to insure your safty.

TRANSPORTATION:  Hobby Airport is located closest to Galveston.  Shuttle service can be arranged through Clear Lake and Galveston Shuttle 281-229-0299.  

PARKING:   Overnight valet parking is available for a charge of $25.00 per day.  Day rate for valet parking is $10.00.

 

Applique Away On Galveston Bay will not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage sustained by our students.  By registering for the conference, you agree not to make any claim against the conference, its organizers, volunteers, or teachers.
